Weather Advisory No. 02FOR: TROPICAL STORMIssued at 11:00 a.m., 27 October 2009
Tropical Storm over the Marianas Islands (North of Guam) was estimated at 2,200 km East Northeast of Visayas (13.9°N 145.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 26 kph. This weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday (Oct. 29). Meanwhile, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will continue to affect most parts of Mindanao which will bring scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The next advisory will be issued at 11:00 a.m. tomorrow.
